My name is Stephanie, I’m 23 and from Curitiba, the capital of Paraná, in the south of Brazil. You may be surprised but I don’t like to go to the beach, don’t know how to dance samba and I can’t play soccer.
I’m obsessed with ice cream, candies and candy crush. I love Jerusalem and its multiculturalism. Here you can see different people and different languages, the new and the old, all together.
I know Jerusalem the best through the light rail and the buses because I spend more time there than in any other places. I should also mention that sometimes I exaggerate. Something in Jerusalem I love to do is go to the shuk Mahane Yehuda, even when I don’t need anything. But in the end I always buy something, with strangers’ opinions usually included. The Old City and the Kotel are also special places. Every time there feels like the first time.
My internship is at Hebrew University, campus Hadassah ein Kerem. The place is as beautiful as it is freezing in the winter. I work at the School of Pharmacy, with polimers and nanoparticles, which means I spend most of the day doing research on the computer and doing experiments that sometimes produce good results.
Religion for me is very important and I love being Jewish. I decided to come here one year after Taglit Birthright Israel, my first time in Israel. I wanted to come back because I felt like I was home.
I don’t know what my future will hold, but Israel and Judaism will always be part of it.

Amo Jerusalém e sua multiculturalidade. Aqui você encontra diferentes pessoas e diferentes idiomas, o novo e o velho, tudo junto e misturado.
Conheço Jerusalém principalmente através do Light Rail (trem que conecta parte da cidade) e dos ônibus porque passo mais tempo neles do que em qualquer outro lugar. Esqueci de dizer, eu geralmente aumento as histórias.
Uma coisa que eu amo fazer em Jerusalém é ir no Shuk Mahane Yehuda, mesmo quando eu não preciso de nada. No final eu sempre acabo comprando alguma coisa e levo a opinião de alguém junto na sacola. A Cidade Velha e o Kotel também são lugares especiais, toda visita parece a primeira vez. Na verdade, a cada dia a cidade me surpreende.
O meu estágio é na Universidade Hebraica de Jerusalém, campus Hadassah ein Kerem. A beleza do lugar é diretamente proporcional ao frio que faz por lá. Eu trabalho na Escola de Farmácia, com polímeros e nanopartículas, isso quer dizer que eu passo boa parte do dia fazendo pesquisas no computador e fazendo experimentos que as vezes produzem bons resultados.
Religião para mim é muito importante e eu amo ser judia. Decidi voltar para Israel um ano após o taglit, minha primeira vez aqui, porque aqui eu me senti em casa e queria conhecer melhor esse lugar incrível.
Eu não sei como meu futuro será, mas Israel e Judaísmo sempre estarão presentes.
